Our Business

It has long been argued that a yacht with a low level of living comforts constitutes a safer, more reliable platform on which to enjoy the sea.

It is also argued that abundant redundancy works to one's advantage under system failure scenarios.

Avid Yacht's philosophy seeks to reconcile a high level of living comforts with a low level of complexity, by an intelligent trade off of redundancy for robustness.

Marine technology advances of the past several decades have clearly been remarkable in such areas as navigation, communication, and composite construction. However, progress in electrical power generation, storage and consumption has remained stagnant. As a consequence, operating and maintaining a Full Function Yacht has remained a worrisome time consuming challenge due to unneccessary system complexity in light of recent advances in technology.

 It is our premise that yacht systems can be vastly simplitifed via a modern electrical upgrade when refitting, or when commissioning a new boat, which results in a dramatically better boating experience for both long time owners as well as those new to boating.

We are an affiliation of degreed electrical engineers with backgrounds in marine systems, microelectronics and signal processing.

And seasoned marine electricians and shipwrights well versed in installations on  a variety of vessels.

All of us share the common viewpoint that superior Performance, Power, Packaging, and Price is only realized from both good design and good installations.
